Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the process, warranties, and customisation options.
Does the modification affect the folding functionality of the console?
No, all our modifications keep the characteristic folding functionality of the Game Boy Advance SP intact. In fact, the hinges are checked and reinforced during the process to ensure greater durability.
Can I use my modified Game Boy Advance SP with the original charger?
Yes, we keep the original charging port along with the new USB-C option, so you can continue using your original charger if you wish. This also maintains compatibility with vintage accessories.
How long does the battery last after the modifications?
The standard 900mAh battery offers 6-8 hours of gameplay, similar to a new original SP. Our Premium 1500mAh battery extends the autonomy up to 9-12 hours depending on the selected screen brightness.
Do these modifications affect the collector value of my GBA SP?
If your console is a rare limited edition or has collector value, we recommend our restoration option that maintains the original components. For modifications, we can use a standard donor and preserve your collector unit intact.
